The Little Lights Self-Portrait Exhibit is a community art showcase celebrating the creativity, identity, and bright futures of our youngest artists. Students, ages 6-10, are invited to create expressive self-portraits based on the theme “What Makes Me ME!”, using colors, symbols, and imagery that reflect their interests, families, cultures, and personal identities.
This special exhibit is hosted at The Luckiest Light Art Gallery as part of The Dream & Draw Project, highlighting the power of art to help children shine. Each $5 entry supports the gallery’s youth programs, ensuring The Luckiest Light can continue offering meaningful, inspiring art experiences for local families.
Friends and family are encouraged to attend the February Opening Reception by donating art supplies or contributing funds to support TLL’s ongoing art classes.
The Little Lights Self-Portrait Exhibit honors every child as a unique light in our community and provides a professional space for them to share their story with their community.
The Luckiest Light Corp is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit organization whose mission is to empower artists with disabilities through a vibrant and inclusive creative space that fosters artistic expression, personal growth, and community connection. They provide comprehensive supportive services, innovative wellness programs, and diverse opportunities to inspire, uplift, and amplify the unique voices and talents of our artists, enriching lives and transforming communities.
The prompt is to create a self-portrait that incorporates colors and symbols representing their interests, family, culture and personal identity.
We ask each child to let us know of their participation by registering. We will follow up throughout February to make sure your student is ready to submit their art by Thursday, February 26.
